Unit 12

This is the scene in car on there way going to Chicago. This scene shows the camera clearly showing the person at front and the old man in the back seat is blur. The main point for this is to show his expression on what the old man's saying. His face shows no interest but hi still couldn't stop talking.

I liked this scene set up, all doors are light green and his got black clothes on which gives a good contrast. And since he was looking down the camera was placed on the ground facing him to show the perspective or where he was looking at. this was when he was in the restroom and then he heard something, when he came to check it out, it was the old man that had fallen on the ground where he was using the restroom.

This is one of the first scene that I thing the whole film was build upon. He finished singing and went out to check on who was looking for him, when he got there he realized that it wasn't a friend. It was somebody who probably didn't like what he was doing. This scene didn't finish, instead, it flash back to days earlier to show what had lead to this scene. This scene came back at the end and continues till the fight finish and the man leaves him.

This was the scene when they got caught by the police. I liked this particular scene because of the light set up. You can see that there are light on both sides of his face, one that is strong and another one that is low light. I liked it because it made me realize how light are very important and how the producers do actually think of small things like that, because they really have an impact on scenes.

Unit 11: Moonrise Kingdom

In these shot, we have Suzy's mom and the police officer. It it wide angel shot, we see them through Suzy's binocular. This is Suzy's point of view, only Suzy and the viewers know what is happening the other characters have no idea of this. There is few trees closer to the camera but on the sides of the frame, a light house further from the camera, then the police with Suzy's mom and the police officer talking. I found it to be a very nice shot due to the colors with it. Suzy's mom is wearing a red jacket which matches colors with the middle part of the light house and the car's silence lights. The Officer's shirt matches color with the top and bottom of the light house and the top of the car. The binocular frame color actually matches the car colors, which stands out more. Then we have the ground which is green because of the trees and the lake view which is the background. All these elements make it a great composition and a very beautiful picture.

Unit 10 O Brother where art thou?

O Brother where art thou?
1. Develop your own blog focusing on a theme of your interest. However, regardless of the matter you select, you need to accompany your developed theme with technical scene analysis.
-It seemed to be that rather than being just a comedy film, it was more of a story based people with a common goal. They all was running from there current life hoping for a better one, to over come some person issues in there life. Three white men were trying to escape jail because they wanted to get some kind of a treasure that didn't exist, but the truth was one of them lied to them so he could escape and see of he could reunite with his wife who was getting marry. They they met the black male along the way who claimed to sold his soul to the devil to be a better musician so he can make some money off of it.
